Becoming the Next Level Leader

What does it take to step to the next level of leadership? How do you become a great leader? In this course we will review the differences between managers and leaders. We will also explore what it takes to achieve greatness as a leader, and discuss strategies you can use to move to the next level of leadership.

Building High Performance Teams
8:30 a.m.–noon, February 24, 2014

Mother Teresa once said that “You can do things I cannot. I can do things you cannot, but together we can do great things.” High-impact leaders know that in order to succeed they must create an environment conducive to high-performance teams. During this session, we will define the characteristics of high performing teams, discuss how to develop trust and connection among team members, and explore the techniques for building high-performing teams.

Leading Through Change

Influence as Power

What comes to your mind when you think of the word, “power?” Does it elicit feelings and thoughts that are positive or negative? Great leaders know that to make things happen they must effectively use their personal power to influence other. In this session,
participants will review the nature and sources of power, explore what motivates and drives individuals to perform, and understand how influence can become a part of their leadership philosophy and strategy.
